| Membership | ||||||||||||
| State dues are $15.00 per year plus $.50 per cow.
Dues include our Wisconsin Brown Swiss Newsletters. Members also receive
a reduced rate for registering animals if you are both a state and
national member. State junior membership is $5.00 for ages 9 through 19
as of January 1st. Memberships for each year can be renewed starting
January 1stand
must be paid to the State Secretary/Treasurer by April 1st.
Any one who has not paid their dues by April 1st will pay a
$50 late fee.

| Wisconsin Brown Swiss Association 93rd Annual Meeting | ||||||||||||
| The
93rd Annual Meeting of the Wisconsin Brown Swiss Association was held in
conjunction with the Ayrshire Annual Meeting March 7, 2009 at the Holiday
Inn in Appleton, Wisconsin. Bryan Voegeli presented the Service Award to
Dieter Bradley, De forest for his years of dedication to the Brown Swiss
Breed. The following received production and protein herd awards: Kaiser
Dairy, Cuba City; Wesgray-Jenny Clark, Viola; Elm Park Farms, Sheboygan
Falls; Cozy Nook Farm, Waukesha and AR-Line Dairy, Bangor. Individual cow
protein awards were presented to: Sunburst Swiss, DeForest; Cozy Nook Farms,
Waukesha; Lost Elm Swiss, Berlin, and Swiss Miss Farms, Fox Lake. Calf Loan
Recipients included: John Hartman, Arpin and Tyler Wirths, Roberts. Tom
Oberhaus received the Junior Association Parent Adult Leader Award. 2009
Junior Achievement Award was presented to Jill Cowles, Roberts. The association also elected Andy Fuchs, Fort Atkinson as vice-president and re-elected Barb Muenzenberger, Coon Valley as secretary/treasurer. The new Junior Association officers are: Stephanie Lemay, Waukesha as president; Rebecca Schlehlein. Sussex as vice president and Olivia Kozarek, Hartland as secretary. Aubrey Kohls, Gillette will serve as the 2009 Wisconsin Brown Swiss Queen. |

| WI State Show | ||||||||||||
| Wisconsin Brown Swiss State Show is an annual event. Every other year it is at the Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis and the other years one of the seven cantons hosts it in their part of the state. Make sure you take part in our annual ice cream social the night before the show. The Parade of Champions is something special to see, especially at State Fair. | Futurity | ||||||||||||
| Wisconsin breeders are eligible to nominate their
animals as calves and then show them as milking two-year-olds in the
Dairyland Swiss Futurity. Cash prizes along with other awards are
